Finalists for the 2025 Top 25 Canadian Immigrant Awards have been announced, and a Brandon University (BU) professor is among the Top 75.

Dr. Aloysius C. Anyichie, an internationally recognized education psychology scholar, educator, and community leader, has been nominated for the Top 25 Canadian Immigrants Award. 

This prestigious award recognizes remarkable Canadian immigrants whose inspiring stories, bold achievements, and meaningful impact are shaping communities and redefining success in their adopted homeland.

Julia Greer has all kinds of new ideas to spark her teaching career after capping her Brandon University (BU) education with a memorable experience. Greer, who will graduate with a Bachelor of Education (After Degree) this month, had the opportunity to exchange ideas with other pre-service educators at the Western Canadian Student Teacher Conference (WestCAST) in April at the University of Calgary.

Brandon University (BU) Education students and faculty led an anti-racism workshop with a group of 50 high school students this month at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights in Winnipeg.

Led by Dr. Michelle Lam, Director of BU CARES, and Faculty of Education Assistant Professor Dr. Jill Morris, the contingent also included BU students Dylan Burrell, Monique Huberdeau, Kaden Jamil Mirza and Ashley Sadler.
