SSHRC Insight Grant supports four-year research project on the social foundations of knowledge

Brandon University is pleased to announce that Dr. Cameron Boult, Associate Professor of Philosophy, has been awarded a $72,702 Insight Grant from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) to investigate a deceptively simple but urgently important question: do truth, facts, and critical thinking matter? And if so, why?

The four-year project, titled Relation-Based Epistemology, argues that the answer lies not in the individual mind, but in our relationships with one another.

Three Brandon University (BU) projects will benefit from more than $130,000 in federal funding from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) Insight Development Grants program.
Drs. Breanna Lawrence, Cameron Boult and Eftihia Mihelakis are primary recipients of the grants, which support short-term research projects in their early stages.
