BU Researcher Contributes to SSHRC Insight Grant Project on Care, Vulnerability, and Francophone Literature

Brandon University researcher Dr. Dominique Hétu is a co-investigator on a nationally funded research initiative examining how Francophone literature represents care, vulnerability, and human dignity, and how these narratives create space for historically marginalized voices.

Dr. Hétu, Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Francophone Studies and Languages, is part of the research team for Donner voix aux caregivers : sollicitude, soin et subalternité dans les littératures francophones de 1945 à aujourd’hui (Giving Voice to Caregivers: Care, Solicitude, and Subalternity in Francophone Literatures from 1945 to the Present).

Dr. Eftihia Mihelakis named Editor-in-Chief of ‘@nalyses’ journal

Congratulations to Dr. Eftihia Mihelakis, Associate Professor of French and Francophone Studies in the Department of Francophone Studies and Languages at Brandon University. Dr. Mihelakis was recently appointed the new Editor-in-Chief of the journal @nalyses : revue des littératures franco-canadiennes et québécoise.

Federal Insight Development Grants support early-stage BU research

Three Brandon University (BU) projects will benefit from more than $130,000 in federal funding from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) Insight Development Grants program.
Drs. Breanna Lawrence, Cameron Boult and Eftihia Mihelakis are primary recipients of the grants, which support short-term research projects in their early stages.
