Brandon University’s Senate has voted by an overwhelming majority to delay the start of Winter Term 2022 by one week, giving students and faculty additional time to prepare for a temporary move to online instruction.

Award-winning musician and composer Melody McKiver (they/them pronouns) has been hired on a tenure-track appointment as Assistant Professor of Composition in Brandon University’s (BU’s) School of Music.
Starting this fall, McKiver will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Composition.

Janiaski, a graduate student in the department of Biology at BU, presented her research on microplastics in a virtual showcase earlier this month, and was selected by community judges as having the best presentation.
Fifteen upper-years students will present their research as the Senior Colloquium returns to Brandon University (BU) on Monday, April 12.
The Colloquium was cancelled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic but will take place online this year, with live presentations to be streamed from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
