A new tool has been launched to help Brandon University (BU) researchers share their expertise with media, industry, government and colleagues.

The Office of Research Services has partnered with Information Technology Services at BU to develop a searchable online list of experts, highlighting their areas of interest as well as their availability for taking inquiries from the media and public or for research collaborations.

Research and graduate studies will get new prominence at the highest levels of administration at Brandon University (BU), with the appointment of a new member of the senior leadership team. Dr. Bernadette Ardelli has been appointed to the newly created role of Vice-President (Research and Graduate Studies).

A Brandon University Master’s student who is studying fossilized pollen and spores (called palynology) has been recognized with three awards for her ongoing research and outstanding potential.
Nidhi Patel, who is earning a Master of Science in Environmental and Life Sciences (MELS) at BU after previously earning a Bachelor of Science here, said the recognition is motivating.

A Brandon University (BU) student researching early diagnosis of breast cancer is the recipient of a Research Manitoba Master’s Studentship Award.
Braydon Nault, who is studying in BU’s Master of Science (Environmental and Life Sciences) program, will receive $12,000 during the 2021-22 academic year to fund his work.
