Brandon University is kicking off the Fall Term with a blended approach to the traditional Welcome Week and Orientation activities.
The campus will see more in-person classes, services, and activities starting this week, although BU is continuing a cautious approach to keep everyone safe and healthy.

One year after first surveying healthcare workers to explore the impact of Covid, Brandon University researchers are doing a follow-up survey to check in.

Brandon University’s Laura Janiaski is headed to Western Regionals with her Three-Minute Thesis.
Janiaski, a graduate student in the department of Biology at BU, presented her research on microplastics in a virtual showcase earlier this month, and was selected by community judges as having the best presentation.

Fifteen upper-years students will present their research as the Senior Colloquium returns to Brandon University (BU) on Monday, April 12.
The Colloquium was cancelled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic but will take place online this year, with live presentations to be streamed from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Brandon University (BU) students are choosing to challenge inequality to mark International Women’s Day on Monday, March 8.
International Women’s Day will kick off Women’s Week at BU as the university’s Status of Women Review Committee (SWRC) recognizes 17 outstanding female students as nominated by faculty and staff members. Profiles of the students appear on the BU website at BrandonU.

Researchers from Brandon University (BU) and the University of Manitoba (UM) are working with the Manitoba Status of Women Secretariat to study the experiences of survivors of intimate partner violence who are seeking help during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Nadine Henriquez, an Assistant Professor in Nursing at BU, is a co-investigator in the project, which is led by Kendra Nixon of the University of Manitoba.

Brandon University (BU) researchers are exploring topics from underground artifacts to far-away galaxies thanks to more than $100,000 in BU Research Committee (BURC) funding.
BURC is providing $102,941 to support 27 projects during the 2019-20 period.
