BRANDON – A return engagement by the Cecilia String Quartet will also be the final Pro Series appearance for the ensemble.
On Tuesday, Oct. 24, the group returns to the Lorne Watson Recital Hall stage with a programme that includes a favourite standard of the quartet repertoire – Beethoven’s String Quartet Op. 18 No. 3 – as well as one of the works on the group’s JUNO-nominated recording – Mendelssohn’s String Quartet Op. 44 No.1.
BRANDON – Students from Brandon University (BU) and Minot State University (MSU) are meeting today at the International Peace Garden to renew a tradition that dates back to the college days for both institutions.

BRANDON – Few Prairie music lovers know that they live amid a rich repertoire of songs from medieval France, from Parisian dance halls, from Quebec, and some created right here in the Northwest Territories.
On October 29, 2017, you will have opportunity to hear Ray St. Germain, Brandon University students, Garry Lepine, Conlin Delbaere-Sawchuk (of Métis Fiddler Quartet), and Indigenous drummer Debbie Huntinghawk join their musical talents to recreate the songs—a musical experiment.
BRANDON – Brandon University (BU) alumni wrapped up four days of Homecoming celebrations on the weekend.
The 2017 Homecoming was BU’s largest in several years, with more than 200 people attending Saturdays’ Dinner and Awards at Harvest Hall.
BRANDON – A travelling exhibit of images from the former Brandon Indian Residential School will be on display for the public in the John E. Robbins Library at Brandon University (BU) until Friday, Oct. 20.
The Brandon Indian Residential School Mobile Learning Centre is designed to educate and promote next steps on the journey of reconciliation. The Learning Centre features 27 large format photos, which span the history of the school.
