BRANDON – Doris Pratt will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Brandon University (BU) Senate this weekend during BU’s Homecoming celebration.
This year’s expanded Homecoming festivities begin tonight, and Pratt will be recognized at the annual Homecoming Dinner and Awards banquet on Saturday.

The Department of Visual and Aboriginal Art is delighted to celebrate Colleen Granger (Bachelor of Fine Arts, 2016, Honours Painting) as the first Brandon University (BU) participant in its graduate exchange program with the École supérieure d’arts et medias de Caen/Cherbourg in the Normandy region of France.
Granger was selected from a group of BU Bachelor of Fine Arts graduates to participate in a visual artist residency from September to November 2017.

With September having drawn to a close, Western Manitoba’s two post-secondary institutions are thrilled with the reaction to this year’s “Great Chemistry” campaign to welcome students for the fall term.
This year’s campaign focused on the benefits of the partnership between ACC and BU, as well as the benefits that students bring to the community.

The Department of Visual and Aboriginal Art is proud to announce that current Bachelor of Fine Arts Honours student Jimmie Kilpatrick is the recipient of a Manitoba Arts Council Student Bursary award for the 2017-18 school year.
This $2,000 award celebrates and supports the completion of his graduating thesis year, which includes a solo exhibition at the Glen P. Sutherland Gallery.

BRANDON, Man. – A significant milestone will be recognized at Brandon University’s (BU’s) expanded 2017 Homecoming celebration, which takes place from Oct. 12–15.
Among those who will be recognized at the Homecoming Dinner and Awards on Saturday, Oct. 14 will be the Class of 1967, the final class to graduate from Brandon College before the institution was chartered as a degree-granting university for the 1967–68 academic year. Graduates from Brandon College were awarded degrees through other universities, including McMaster University and the University of Manitoba.

Brandon University invites members of the university community to wear orange this Friday, September 29, 2017 in a show of support and reconciliation with all those who have been harmed by the residential school system in Canada.
