BRANDON, MB – Research conducted by a student from Brandon University (BU) has been published in a prestigious international nursing journal – a rare distinction since he is a year away from finishing his undergraduate degree.
John Jackson investigated the experiences of registered psychiatric nurses working in Manitoba, writing a study published in the peer-reviewed Journal of Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing.

Figures released today by BU’s Admissions Department show that 636 persons have applied to attend the University as new students beginning this fall.

BRANDON, MB — A new agreement between Brandon University (BU) and Assiniboine Community College (ACC) will open the door for students to transfer credits directly from their completed Licensed Practical Nursing program at ACC to BU’s Bachelor of Nursing program in the Faculty of Health Studies. The recent approval of a new block-transfer-credit for Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) graduates from Assiniboine Community College paved the way for this new partnership.

BRANDON, MB — Brandon University has a new Faculty. The Dean of Health Studies, Dr. Dean Care, the faculty members and the staff of the former School of Health Studies collaborated to meet the necessary criteria to reach faculty status and at the latest BU Senate meeting, it became official.

BRANDON, MB — Tomorrow and Saturday, the 101st Convocation at Brandon University will celebrate the achievements of 629 students as they assemble in the Western Manitoba Centennial Auditorium to receive well deserved degrees or diplomas. As well, honorary doctorates and other awards will be presented during each of the ceremonies.
