A special federal fund is supporting a Brandon University (BU) research project examining the impacts of COVID-19 on the tourism industry in southwestern Manitoba.
The researchers have been awarded $16,880 from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) through a special COVID-19 initiative of the Partnership Engage Grants program.

Dr. Vincent Chen, an Assistant Professor in BU’s Department of Chemistry, is a recipient of an NSERC Discovery Grant, with a value of $165,000 over five years.

With the symbolic shift of a tassel from one side of their mortarboards to the other, nearly 600 Brandon University students became Brandon University graduates, receiving their degrees at today’s Convocation ceremonies. It was Brandon University’s largest graduating class in six years.
