Ten talented Brandon University (BU) Science students are working on significant research projects with federal funding. The students are recipients of $6,000 Undergraduate Student Research Awards from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Council of Canada.

Three Brandon University (BU) projects will benefit from more than $130,000 in federal funding from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) Insight Development Grants program.
Drs. Breanna Lawrence, Cameron Boult and Eftihia Mihelakis are primary recipients of the grants, which support short-term research projects in their early stages.

BRANDON – Archaeologists from Brandon University (BU) and the Manitoba Archaeological Society (MAS) are continuing their multi-year investigation of how Indigenous people lived in southwestern Manitoba before the arrival of Europeans.
The research project involves archaeological sites in the Pierson Wildlife Management Area (WMA) on Treaty 2 lands, which are the traditional homelands of the Dakota, Anishanabek, Ojibway-Cree, Cree, Dene and Métis peoples.
