The Brandon University community is saddened to learn of the recent passing of Dr. Peter Letkeman, a distinguished chemist and professor who was also a longtime Dean of Science.

Dr. Patty Douglas, an Assistant Professor in Brandon University’s Faculty of Education, is partnering with the Brandon Friendship Centre as part of a major national research project.

Linda Ross has assumed the position of Acting Dean of Health Studies, stepping in for John Moraros, who has taken a personal leave with the support of the university.
BRANDON – Ongoing shortages in N95 masks have motivated a Brandon University (BU) laboratory to partner with Brandon Clinic to develop a respirator that could be used to limit the spread of COVID-19.
Although cloth masks are recommended to control the spread of amongst the general population, these masks do not provide sufficient protection for medical staff where the risks of transmission of COVID-19 are the highest. These workers need to be shielded from the virus and require Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) of a much higher standard.
BRANDON – Brandon University (BU) School of Music professor Dr. Andrée Dagenais has been recognized with a National Choral Award.
Dr. Dagenais’ critical edition of Pierre Robert, Motets pour la Chapelle du roy, vol. 1, was chosen as the Outstanding Choral Publication by Choral Canada, which presents its national awards every two years.
Brandon University has made the difficult decision to not offer its popular youth summer camps this year, due to the ongoing pandemic. This includes Mini University, as well as Athletics camps and music camps.
