Tickets to the Chris Hadfield keynote at Brandon University’s 50th-anniversary Homecoming next month have sold out. Tickets to the event went on sale Monday at noon and the last one was snapped up by mid-afternoon on Wednesday.

Fifty years after they attended Brandon College as it transitioned into Brandon University, Bill Hillman, Ron Westcott and Bill and Lana Myers are fine examples of the different ways that lives can diverge from a single starting point.
Under the theme of “Forever Blue and Gold,” Brandon University has released the schedule for its expanded fall Homecoming. This year’s Homecoming will celebrate 50 years of Brandon University and welcome back all alumni, faculty, staff, retirees and friends with a four-day community celebration.

For the first time, a Brandon University fine arts graduate has been named the regional winner in the BMO 1st Art! competition.
Jimmie Kilpatrick, also known as “Shotgun Jimmie,” won $7,500 for his rock-and-roll inspired submission, entitled “Quality Control.
BRANDON – The first installment of the Investors Group BIRT Cup under the Brandon University (BU) Bobcats’ banner was a success.
The alumni/charity tournament at the Wheat City Golf Course on Friday, July 13 raised $29,000 for several sports-related community initiatives.

Two ceremonies at BU’s Healthy Living Centre (HLC) will confer degrees on 583 graduates.

The exceptional accomplishments of several alumni and educators will also be recognized at the ceremonies at the BU Healthy Living Centre (HLC). Three Lifetime Achievement Awards will be presented, as well as three awards for current BU faculty, and the Distinguished Teacher Awards.
