Researchers at Brandon University (BU), Carleton University, Dalhousie University, University of Manitoba, and St. Francis Xavier University have begun collecting data for the Safe Places for Aging and Care project.
The researchers are examining how features of care environments in both home care and personal care homes influence violence.

Brandon University (BU) will receive $25,000 to promote student well-being and mental health through the Bell Let’s Talk Post-Secondary Fund.

BRANDON – The Brandon University community will be promoting mental health and mental wellness all this week, during Mental Health Week, with a special focus on Wednesday for Bell Let’s Talk Day.
This year’s theme is “Every Action Counts” — a message that helps to reinforce that each of us can do something to either help our own mental wellbeing or to support someone else who may be experiencing mental health challenges.

BRANDON – In partnership with Brandon University (BU) researchers, the Brandon Friendship Centre (BFC) and Brandon Urban Aboriginal People’s Council (BUAPC) are hosting a new series of wellness workshops for Indigenous men.
The workshops will take place at the Cultural Resource Centre (A.R. McDiarmid Civic Complex, 638 Princess Avenue) every Thursday from March 7th to March 28th at 6 p.m.
