BU faculty member, Dr. Aloysius C. Anyichie, nominated for Canada’s prestigious Top 25 Immigrants Award

Finalists for the 2025 Top 25 Canadian Immigrant Awards have been announced, and a Brandon University (BU) professor is among the Top 75.

Dr. Aloysius C. Anyichie, an internationally recognized education psychology scholar, educator, and community leader, has been nominated for the Top 25 Canadian Immigrants Award. 

This prestigious award recognizes remarkable Canadian immigrants whose inspiring stories, bold achievements, and meaningful impact are shaping communities and redefining success in their adopted homeland.

Scholarship recipients celebrated

Recipients of the Pallister Awards at Brandon University, supported by Brian & Esther Pallister, came together recently for a reception at the BU Healthy Living Centre.

For more than a quarter century, the couple has given to scholarships at the university, beginning with their gift in 1999 to BU’s Success in Mind Campaign, although their charitable giving to the BU Foundation actually began even earlier, in 1990.

BU professor and graduate contribute to Prairie Thunder exhibition

A new group exhibition, coming to the Art Gallery of Southwestern Manitoba (AGSM), was co-curated by Stacey Koosel of the IshKaabatens Waasa Gaa Inaabateg Department of Visual Art at Brandon University and features the work of BU alumna Jessie Januska and other Indigenous artists.
