BRANDON, Man. — Although the end of Mental Illness Awareness Week in Canada is near, the conversation will continue with the Mental Health on the Prairies (MHP) conference next week at Brandon University (BU).
Hosted by the BU Faculty of Health Studies as well as Manitoba Health, Seniors and Active Living, the conference will take place from Wednesday, Oct. 12 to Friday, Oct. 14 with nearly 35 presentations from top-notch speakers.

As Brandon University (BU) begins planning for our next few decades of growth and development, we are inviting all members of the community to share their visions of the future of the university, including how they currently use and engage with the campus.
BU is working with consultants who specialize in this type of assessment and long-range planning to develop a Campus Master Plan for the University.

While most Brandon University (BU) students are heading to their first classes today, one group got an early start with three days of intensive orientation sessions last week.
Students in the BU Master of Psychiatric Nursing program came to the BU campus for a round of seminars, faculty research presentations and introductions before heading back home to complete their coursework.

Orientation will be bigger and better this year as Brandon University (BU) makes the final preparations for the arrival of more than 3,000 students next week.
A total of 3,168 students have enrolled at BU for the 2016-17 academic year, an increase of five per cent from this time last year, with more registrations expected in the coming days.

A total of 536 degrees were awarded at the 2016 Spring Convocation in two ceremonies at BU’s Healthy Living Centre.

BRANDON, MB. — Students will have new options to get a degree in medicine or veterinary medicine, thanks to a new agreement between Brandon University (BU) and Saint George’s University.
The two institutions today signed a Memorandum of Understanding that will allow students to obtain medical or veterinary degrees at Saint George’s, in Grenada, after taking either a three- or four-year pre-professional science degree at BU.
“This is an extraordinary opportunity for students at Brandon University to broaden their cultural and geographic horizons while furthering their education,” said Acting Dean of the Faculty of Science Dr. Austin Gulliver.

BRANDON, Man. – Brandon University’s (BU) outstanding students and the generous donors that help them reach their goals were celebrated on Wednesday night at the annual BU Awards Reception.

BRANDON, Man. – In recognition of International Women’s Day, Brandon University (BU) is spending the week saluting some of its outstanding female students.
Members of BU’s faculty and staff were asked to nominate students who have excelled in their studies and provided meaningful contributions to the community.
