Brandon University will be the venue for a memorial reception in honour and memory of the late Dr. Harold (Jack) Perkins, a former President and Vice-Chancellor at BU.

Brandon University’s 50th anniversary year sparked an extraordinary outpouring of generosity from donors, who responded to BU’s Annual Fund appeal by more than tripling last year’s amount.
More than $370,000 was received between Oct. 12, 2017 and Oct. 12, 2018 — a timeline that ran from Homecoming to Homecoming as Brandon University celebrated its BU50 anniversary.

BRANDON – A generous $50,000 donation has given Brandon University (BU) another big reason to celebrate as it marks its 50th year as a chartered university.
Brandon University alumnus and current Board of Governors member Kerry Auriat is partnering with National Bank Financial – Wealth Management, to make a $50,000 commitment to BU’s Healthy Living Centre (HLC).

With the symbolic shift of a tassel from one side of their mortarboards to the other, nearly 600 Brandon University students became Brandon University graduates, receiving their degrees at today’s Convocation ceremonies. It was Brandon University’s largest graduating class in six years.

A brand-new grand piano for the Brandon University School of Music will provide quality music for students, faculty and the community for decades to come, and will permanently recognize the legacy of Dr. Elizabeth Grant at BU.
Grant originally founded the Brandon Conservatory Chorale in 1981 as a project for her Master’s in Music degree. Since then, it has grown from just 14 members to peak at well over 100 choristers, and has been subdivided into various youth choirs, with singers ranging in age from 5-18, both male and female.

BRANDON – Brandon University (BU) students will benefit from $330,000 in additional support this year through two valuable new bursaries approved on Tuesday by the BU Senate.
The bursaries were created to realize the benefits of changes to the Manitoba Scholarship and Bursaries Initiative (MSBI).
