Safety precautions, such as masking indoors and physical distancing, will remain in place as Brandon University continues to follow its cautious plan for re-opening as laid out in July.
For the upcoming Fall Term, BU’s Phase Grey mid-level precautions will include a limit of 25 students for most in-person classes, with space for physical distancing maintained.

A pair of Brandon University professors are collaborating to launch a study exploring the impact of the global health pandemic on people who are in committed, romantic relationships but who are living apart.
“This type of relationship, where people are in a committed relationship but don’t live in the same household, is a relatively recent development, and there is not yet much research on it,” said Dr. Serena Petrella, chair of the BU Department of Sociology and a BU Associate Professor who studies families and intimacy.
Staff from the Westman Women’s Shelter received supplies from Brandon Universities’ faculties of Health Studies and Science on Wednesday to help the non-profit organization’s efforts to contain COVID-19.
The Faculty of Health Studies and the Faculty of Science at Brandon University (BU) have answered the call to assist the non-profit sector in Brandon.
The two faculties collected items to help with the containment of COVID-19 and delivered them to the Westman Women’s Shelter and Meredith Place on Wednesday.
BRANDON – Courses are set to resume on Monday, March 23, but there will be no in-person classes, labs or educational work at Brandon University (BU) for the remainder of the Winter 2020 term.
There will also be no in-person exams for the reminder of the term.
