The Loy Excellentia 2025 Summer Picnic in Brandon brought together students of African descent, mentors, volunteers, faculty, Rotary Club members, the mayor of Brandon, the president of the African Diaspora Network, and community members for an afternoon of games, food, Afrobeat karaoke and cultural celebration.

This competition invites international students to create a short, social-media–style video showcasing their paths from their home country to their arrival on campus. It’s a great way to connect with others, celebrate your experience, and inspire future international students.
The online ordering system for Brandon University Student ID cards is now open. Student ID card are your passport to many BU services and supports, including after-hours access to campus buildings and spaces, where required.
The Brandon University Student Music Educators Association (BUSMEA), in partnership with the Westman Band Directors Association (WMBDA), instrumental music teachers, and stakeholders in the Westman region, are proud to announce the launch of a national Beginning Band Composition Competition, with a submission deadline of Nov. 1, 2025.
