Born in 1950, Bruce joined the Department of Chemistry in 1986 as an associate professor.

In a small computer lab on the bottom floor of Brandon University’s Brodie Building,three computer science students spent Saturday afternoon with their eyes glued to monitors,scanning through lines of programming code.
The third-year students — Roque Lacroix, Alex Trush and Bailey Kacsmar — are making a run at a worldwide programming contest, which almost guarantees winners a golden ticket to Google or Microsoft.

Mostly recently, Betty Braaksma served as Usability Liaison Librarian and Virtual Reference Coordinator at the University of Manitoba.

BRANDON, MB – A student from the Applied Disaster and Emergency Studies (ADES) program at Brandon University (BU), chosen to attend an international crisis management conference, will be pursuing an internship in Germany.
Samantha Durnin, originally from Portage la Prairie, is taking part this week in the 5th Annual BBK Summer Academy, an emergency management conference organized by the German Federal Office of Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance (Bundesamt für Bevölkerungsschutz und Katastrophenhilfe BBK).

BRANDON, MB – Four graduating students from Brandon University (BU) have been awarded federal scholarships, given each year to top-ranking applicants furthering their educations in the sciences, social sciences and the humanities.
In total, $70,000 in scholarships from the Tri-Agency’s Canada Graduate Scholarships (CGS) will be split among the BU students.
