The Portage & District Arts Centre will be displaying “Narratives,” an exhibition by Brandon University Printmaking II students, from February 21 to March 10, 2018. The opening reception is on Saturday, February 24, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Portage & District Arts Centre (PDAC) at 11-2nd Street NE (west doors of the William Glesby Building).
BRANDON – Two Brandon University (BU) students are among a group of international educators gathering in Tampa, Fla., for the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) 2018 Convention and Expo.
The CEC organizes the conference, which is the largest special education professional development event for educators.
BRANDON – The World University Service of Canada (WUSC) committee at Brandon University (BU) was presented with a national award recently.
The BU WUSC Local Committee was recognized for Outstanding Contribution to the Student Refugee Program (SRP) at the national WUSC Forum awards ceremony in Ottawa in late January.
BRANDON – Award-winning soprano Sarah Kirsch will return to the Lorne Watson Recital Hall at Brandon University (BU) as the Pro Series continues on Tuesday, Feb. 13.

A busy Winnipeg-based teacher and performer, Kirsch won the 2014 Eckhardt-Gramatté National Music Competition and undertook an extensive cross-Canada tour following the event.
BRANDON – A concert by the popular Brandon University (BU) Big Band, a display in the John E. Robbins Library and an online scavenger hunt are the highlights of Black History Month at BU.
The University is celebrating Black History Month throughout February. The display in the Library showcases books by Black Canadian authors as well as books on prominent Black figures.
BRANDON – Members of the Brandon University (BU) Department of Visual and Aboriginal Art and the BU Theatre Club are teaming up to launch a new exhibition at the Glen P. Sutherland Gallery of Fine Art.
