BRANDON, MB – The review reads, “The audience was smitten with pianist Matthew Peavoy” – high praise for a first year music student from Brandon University (BU) debuting with the Red Deer Symphony.
Peavoy performed the first movement of Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 9 in Alberta after winning the Symphony’s concerto competition.

The 2013 Canadian Rural Revitalization Foundation (CRRF) annual conference will be held in Thunder Bay, Ontario, 24-27 October 2013. The conference is being co-hosted by the Nishnawbe-Aski Nation (NAN), Lakehead University, and the Northwestern Ontario Municipal Association (NOMA).

Evan Citulsky, graduating from BU this spring, has been accepted into Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics at the University of Minnesota (UMN), a top-ranked research university with internationally renowned faculty and a 75-year history of program excellence.

Michael Decter is President and CEO of the investment company LDIC Inc., author of eight books and popular lecturer with the National Speakers Bureau.

BRANDON, MB – Brandon University (BU) is pleased to announce a significant community contribution to the newly opened Healthy Living Centre.
Drs. Trudy Corbett and Jeff Bales have given $100,000 towards the completion of the 24.3 million dollar project, which opened to the public in January with construction to be completed this spring.

BRANDON, MB – Brandon University President and Vice-Chancellor Deborah Poff has been elected council member on the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), an international resource network dedicated to the ethical publication of research in all academic fields.
Dr. Poff is Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Academic Ethics; and Editor of the Journal of Business Ethics, ranked as an “A” journal by the Financial Times and Bloomberg.
