Brandon University graduate Whitney Hodgins has been named the first recipient of the new Jim and Ginette Munson Autism Leadership Award, after spending years raising awareness for Manitobans with disabilities.
The 27-year-old formally received this award during the eighth annual Canadian Autism Leadership Summit, an event that is run by the Canadian Autism Spectrum Disorder Alliance (CASDA) and officially wrapped up on Tuesday.

 
Brandon University will be recognized as Canada’s Finest Regional University under the leadership of a new strategic plan that will guide BU for the coming five years.
“Regional universities like BU are essential parts of Canada’s post-secondary system, providing unparalleled focus on the regions we call home, and this plan reinforces our natural strengths,” said BU President Dr. David Docherty.

The Royal Manitoba Winter Fair is back — and with it, Brandon University Kids Day.
Once again, BU is sponsoring Kids Day at the Fair, set for Thursday, March 31 this year. Brandon University will have a special booth on the concourse of the Main Arena all day Thursday, with information, giveaways, and a kids colouring contest.
