A remarkable 50 years of service by Dr. Nancy Stanley was among the highlights as Brandon University recognized the efforts of longtime members of its faculty and staff on Thursday.
The University held its annual Long Service Employee Recognition Event, honouring those who reached benchmarks of 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45 or 50 years in 2019.

‘Movies for Mental Health’ workshop to create dialogue and action
This upcoming Mental Illness Awareness Week, Brandon University will host their second annual “Movies for Mental Health” an event conducted in partnership with Student Services and North American organization Art With Impact. The event will take place on campus in Evans Theatre from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

The Brandon University community will be showing off every colour of the rainbow during Pride Week in Brandon, with all staff, faculty and students encouraged to take part in Pride activities.
At BU, members of the Brandon University Students’ Union, BU Student Services and the BU Diversity and Human Rights office will host a decorate-your-own Pride T-shirt activity in the courtyard (weather permitting) on Wednesday, June 12, from 11 a.m.

More than 1,100 collective years of commitment to Brandon University were recognized on Thursday, during BU’s annual Long Service Recognition event at Harvest Hall.
During the event 63 members of the BU faculty, staff and administration were presented with pins in appreciation of their service for terms ranging from 10 to 45 years.

BRANDON – Brandon University’s (BU’s) biggest Homecoming yet begins with a full evening of activities this Thursday, Oct. 11.
With the theme Forever Blue & Gold, Homecoming 2018 is a four-day community celebration, capping a year of events that mark the 50th anniversary of BU’s first year as a university. The Class of 1968, the first graduates to receive BU degrees, will be recognized at the Dinner and Awards on Saturday night.

BRANDON – Brandon University (BU) is bustling with activity today as hundreds of new students have arrived for their first day at BU.
Two weeks of Orientation activities kicked off today with events geared specifically at making first-time BU students feel comfortable on their new campus.
Meeting new people is one of the highlights of Orientation.

With the symbolic shift of a tassel from one side of their mortarboards to the other, nearly 600 Brandon University students became Brandon University graduates, receiving their degrees at today’s Convocation ceremonies. It was Brandon University’s largest graduating class in six years.
