BRANDON, MB – A Brandon University (BU) biology professor is part of a research team that has confirmed an influential ecological theory that seeks to explain the diversity of life in the modern world.
Dr. David Greenwood, with Simon Fraser University evolutionary biologists Drs Bruce Archibald and Rolf Mathewes, discovered that parts of Canada some 50 million years ago enjoyed tropical weather and a wider range of living organisms.

The seven year study will offer service providers and policy-makers new insight into attracting, settling and integrating newcomers, especially into small and mid-sized communities.
Brandon, MB — Dr. Alison Marshall of the Department of Religion was awarded funding from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC)’s Insight Grants Program. The total value of the research funding is $287,395 and will be distributed over a 5-year term.
