That was the question facing the Canadian Reformed Theological Seminary (CRTS) and Covenant Canadian Reformed Teachers College (CCRTC) as they looked ahead to one of the more significant anniversaries in religious history: Martin Luther’s 1517 challenge to the Roman Catholic Church.

Twenty years ago this week, Brandon University re-opened the doors to its original Brandon College building and the attached Clark Hall, with students, factually, staff and alumni streaming into a completely renewed structure, after a two-year, $12.5 million retrofit.

BRANDON – The transformative growth and development of the Brandon University campus is on full display in a new, free exhibition in the Tommy McLeod Curve Gallery, on second floor of BU’s John E. Robbins Library.

Brandon University remains the best university in Canada for students who want to get to know their professors, according to Maclean’s magazine, with an outstanding 12 students per faculty member, and impressively low class sizes, especially in third- and fourth-year classes.

Brandon University is celebrating a golden anniversary all this year, marking 50 years since the transition from Brandon College to Brandon University.

The Brandon University community is saddened to learn of the passing of Dr. Susan Roddy.
Dr. Roddy was a long-standing member of the Department of Mathematics, where she taught set theory, algebra and advanced integration.
With September having drawn to a close, Western Manitoba’s two post-secondary institutions are thrilled with the reaction to this year’s “Great Chemistry” campaign to welcome students for the fall term.
This year’s campaign focused on the benefits of the partnership between ACC and BU, as well as the benefits that students bring to the community.

Brandon University (BU) is hosting a visiting national exhibition that explores the ongoing impacts of the Residential School System among Indigenous (First Nations, Inuit, and Métis) Peoples in Canada.
The exhibit, 100 Years of Loss: The Residential School System in Canada, will be placed in the Gathering Space on the first floor of the John E. Robbins Library at BU, where it will be open to the public throughout normal library hours from now until Oct. 20.
“We are honoured to bring this important and thought-provoking exhibition here to Brandon, and we encourage everyone to take some time to visit, to view, and to consider its message,” said BU Interim President Steve Robinson.
