BRANDON, MB – Brandon University Athletics will provide free admission to Westman Special Olympics athletes on Saturday, January 8 when the Bobcats host the University of Saskatchewan Huskies.
There are more than 200 Special Olympians in the Westman region who compete in numerous sports, including floor hockey, swimming, and track and field.

The 2011 edition of this aural feast showcases some of the School of Music’s talented instructors and professors performing music of varying genres, from different periods, as soloists as well as in small chamber groups.

BRANDON, MB — James Ehnes, the internationally acclaimed violinist who was born and raised in Brandon, makes a pre-Christmas appearance in Brandon. Joining him on the Western Manitoba Centennial Auditorium stage are two musical colleagues — ‘cellist Robert deMaine and pianist Andrew Armstrong.

BRANDON, MB — The 2010 Stanley Knowles Distinguished Visiting Professor, Dr. Paul Shore will lead a panel discussion, along with Dr. Michael Pomedli, Emeritus Professor of Philosophy from the University of Saskatchewan and First Nations University of Canada.
The title of their discussion is “Lenses, Tools, Filters: What Shaped the Earliest Jesuit Chronicles of Canada?

BRANDON, MB — Two new tomes have been added this fall to the Rural Development Institute’s publishing arm. Dr. Doug Ramsey was one of the editors of Geographical Perspectives on Sustainable Rural Change, while Dr. Kenneth Beesley edited The Rural-Urban Fringe in Canada: Conflict & Controversy.
