Brandon University was proud to see several members of the BU community recognized at Wednesday’s YWCA Westman Women of Distinction Awards Show.
Ten Westman women were chosen as award recipients, from a field of dozens of deserving nominees. Among the award recipients were Susie McPherson (Education & Mentorship Category), a Knowledge Keeper with BU’s Indigenous Peoples’ Centre. Other winners included BU students Madeline Johnson (Young Women of Distinction, 18 — 25 Years Category) and Raya Turner (Science Technology & Trade Category) as well as alumni Laura McDougland-Williams (Agriculture Category) and Angie Chambers (Business Leadership & Entrepreneur Category).
