A new class next term at Brandon University will send students into the community to learn about and participate in local food initiatives. And if you’re involved with food in Westman, there’s an opportunity for you to get involved, too.
“I am eager to see what students decide to explore and what lessons they bring back to share with their classmates and with me,” said Kristen Lowitt, Assistant Professor of Geography at BU, who will be teaching the new class.

Brandon University’s annual Family & Friends Holiday Luncheon welcomed more than 150 people to a decked-out Harvest Hall on Friday afternoon, to enjoy a holiday meal, celebrate the season, and to show off their best ‘ugly’ holiday sweater.
The luncheon also helps raise money for Christmas Cheer, with a theme this year of “A Season of Giving.

More than 1,100 collective years of commitment to Brandon University were recognized on Thursday, during BU’s annual Long Service Recognition event at Harvest Hall.
During the event 63 members of the BU faculty, staff and administration were presented with pins in appreciation of their service for terms ranging from 10 to 45 years.
