A trio of outstanding Brandon University (BU) alumni will be recognized at Homecoming later this month.
Dr. James McAllister, Lisa Ormann and Lorraine Pompana will receive Brandon University Alumni Association (BUAA) awards during the Homecoming Dinner and Awards on Saturday, Oct. 15. McAllister will receive the Distinguished Alumni Award for Career Achievement, while Ormann and Pompana will both be honoured with the Distinguished Alumni Award for Community Service.

Brandon University (BU) will be hosting its first in-person Homecoming celebration since 2019, from October 13 to 16, 2022.

The weekend will be filled with a multitude of events including the usual favourites such as the Homecoming Dinner and Awards Ceremony, the Athletics Wall of Fame Brunch, and the Pro Series concert featuring BU’s Megumi Masaki, who was named to the Order of Manitoba this past spring.

BRANDON – The Brandon University Alumni Association (BUAA) is continuing a tradition for this year’s virtual Homecoming by honouring some outstanding individuals.
Teresa Flannery is the recipient of the Brandon University Alumni Association Award for Exceptional Service.

A young doctor who returned to Brandon for her practice, a businessman with a lengthy career in recycling, and a health-care professional who turned to academia and service will all be recognized as outstanding Brandon University and Brandon College alumni.
Jillian DeCosse will receive the Distinguished Young Alumni Award, Cam Davreux will receive the Distinguished Alumni Award for Career Achievement, and Deb Carnegie will receive the Award for Exceptional Service.

BRANDON – The Brandon University is still basking under the golden glow of this past weekend’s special BU50 Homecoming celebrations.
“What an incredible, exciting four days of fun, inspiration and entertainment as we all came together to celebrate Homecoming and to mark 50 years since Brandon College became Brandon University,” said BU Interim President Dr. Steve Robinson.

BRANDON – The stars will be out tonight for the second day of Homecoming 2018 at Brandon University.
As part of its BU50 community celebration, marking 50 years as a university, BU will welcome Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield to the Western Manitoba Centennial Auditorium to speak to a pair of full houses.

BRANDON – Brandon University’s (BU’s) biggest Homecoming yet begins with a full evening of activities this Thursday, Oct. 11.
With the theme Forever Blue & Gold, Homecoming 2018 is a four-day community celebration, capping a year of events that mark the 50th anniversary of BU’s first year as a university. The Class of 1968, the first graduates to receive BU degrees, will be recognized at the Dinner and Awards on Saturday night.

BRANDON – Graduates of Brandon University (BU) and Brandon College will be in the spotlight at the BU Homecoming Dinner and Awards on Saturday, Oct. 13 at Harvest Hall.
Gerald Brown and Nathan Peto will be recognized with Alumni Awards at the annual celebration.

BRANDON – Brandon University (BU) alumni wrapped up four days of Homecoming celebrations on the weekend.
The 2017 Homecoming was BU’s largest in several years, with more than 200 people attending Saturdays’ Dinner and Awards at Harvest Hall.
