Brandon University is thrilled to announce that the recent U SPORTS Men’s Volleyball National Championship, presented by Sunrise Credit Union, hosted at an electricity-filled, sold-out Healthy Living Centre, was not only a win on the court but an even bigger one for our community. While the moment truly felt like a million bucks, the event has firmly etched itself as one of the most successful national competitions ever staged in Brandon, injecting an incredible $1.05 million into the local economy.

BRANDON – The stars will be out tonight for the second day of Homecoming 2018 at Brandon University.
As part of its BU50 community celebration, marking 50 years as a university, BU will welcome Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield to the Western Manitoba Centennial Auditorium to speak to a pair of full houses.

BRANDON – Brandon University’s (BU’s) biggest Homecoming yet begins with a full evening of activities this Thursday, Oct. 11.
With the theme Forever Blue & Gold, Homecoming 2018 is a four-day community celebration, capping a year of events that mark the 50th anniversary of BU’s first year as a university. The Class of 1968, the first graduates to receive BU degrees, will be recognized at the Dinner and Awards on Saturday night.

BRANDON, Man. – A significant milestone will be recognized at Brandon University’s (BU’s) expanded 2017 Homecoming celebration, which takes place from Oct. 12–15.
Among those who will be recognized at the Homecoming Dinner and Awards on Saturday, Oct. 14 will be the Class of 1967, the final class to graduate from Brandon College before the institution was chartered as a degree-granting university for the 1967–68 academic year. Graduates from Brandon College were awarded degrees through other universities, including McMaster University and the University of Manitoba.

BRANDON, MB – A student at Brandon University (BU) is undertaking a year-long study to investigate the effects of school sports on special needs students.
Raisa Rybinski, in her second year of BU’s Master of Education degree, has been awarded a $17,500 federal grant to assist her research project, entitled Sports Inclusion and Special Education.
