Brandon, MB — April 19 and 20 will be busy for young Manitoban entrepreneurs and others with an interest in business. The second Entrepreneur Boot Camp will be held at the Keystone Centre, in Brandon, and Associate Professor Michael Malazdrewicz will be a Host Presenter at the event.

Brandon, MB — On April 11, Labour and Immigration Minister Jennifer Howard announced the appointment of Dr. William Ashton, director or Rural Development Institute at Brandon University, to the Manitoba Immigration Council.
The 12 members in the Council have diverse backgrounds: academic, business, educational institutions, labour, multicultural, social-service, regional, regulatory and professional sectors.

Brandon, MB — The lab was set up with beakers, coloured liquids, glass pipettes and the promise of cool experiments. A few days ago, a group of Grade 5 students from Kirkcaldy Heights School visited this very laboratory and were treated to a variety of experiments.

Hunter wrapped up a fantastic five-year career as a Bobcat where she set school career records for kills (1,006), digs (945), and points (1193).
BRANDON, MB — Now based in Vancouver, Brandon-raised writer and broadcaster Steve Burgess will be back in his hometown to give a reading on campus from his newly released book “Who Killed Mom? A Delinquent Son’s Meditation on Family, Mortality and Very Tacky Candles.”
As his mother begins to decline in her old age–suffering from Parkinson, esophageal and thyroid problems, a possible brain lesion, and restless leg syndrome, Steve, his father and his four siblings gather to support her during her prolonged ordeal.
BRANDON, MB — Brandon University Associate Professor and internationally acclaimed pianist Alexander Tselyakov, along with his son Daniel Tselyakov, who is wrapping up his first year of music studies at BU, will give a fundraising concert for the survivors of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan.
The two musicians will perform the Piano Concerto No. 2 in G minor, Op. 16 by Sergei Prokofiev.
