BRANDON, MB — Brandon University received a 5-year, $1million Community-University Research Alliance (CURA) research award from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC). This award is aimed at a university-community partnership to improve success for children and youth in First Nations, Métis, Inuit (FNMI) and northern communities in Manitoba.

Brandon, MB — On April 11, Labour and Immigration Minister Jennifer Howard announced the appointment of Dr. William Ashton, director or Rural Development Institute at Brandon University, to the Manitoba Immigration Council.
The 12 members in the Council have diverse backgrounds: academic, business, educational institutions, labour, multicultural, social-service, regional, regulatory and professional sectors.

BRANDON, MB – As part of his recruiting class for the upcoming season, men’s volleyball coach Russ Paddock is looking to the past. The Bobcats will be welcoming back former players Luke Reynolds, Paul Robidoux and Brock Payne for the 2011-2012 season.

BRANDON, MB – After years of battling against Brandon high-schools, Shanlee McLennan will soon be playing for Brandon University.
The former River East Kodiaks team captain has committed to the Bobcats.
