Toronto Poet to Give Reading at BU

Brandon, MB — Toronto-based poet, writer and physiologist Jim Johnstone will give a reading on Monday, July 11 at 3 p.m., in room 104, in Clark Hall. This event will be co-hosted by the Hawkweed Literary Forum and sessional English instructor, Jacob Scheier.

Johnstone is the author of three collections of poetry entitled Sunday, the Locusts (Tightrope Books, 2011), Patternicity (Nightwood Editions, 2010), and The Velocity of Escape (Guernica Editions, 2008). He was the winner of a 2008 CBC Literary Award and This Magazine’s 2010 Great Canadian Literary Hunt. For more information about him, visit http://jimjohnstone.wordpress.com/
