“Brandon has a daily air link to Calgary through Westjet, but where else do people want to fly?” asks Callie Newhouse, a Geography undergraduate student who is conducting the research.

Students living in residence at BU can finally cut the cord. New investments in campus-wide WiFi mean that Brandon University’s three student residences will now have wireless internet access at no extra cost.
Brandon University will welcome back Indigenous alumni from all years past for a special reunion day and celebration gathering during Homecoming this fall, replacing a smaller gathering that was originally planned for late August. The reunion is being organized by a special committee in partnership with the BU Alumni Association and the BU Indigenous Peoples Centre, and it will help renew and create more lasting relationships amongst alumni.
Brandon University will have greener options and more convenience for hungry people on campus this fall. The revamped menu focuses on fresh, sustainable and local options, with expanded vegetarian and vegan fare as well.
Update: ‘No Parking’ signs will be placed in the 300-block of 20th Street starting Thursday evening, Aug. 22, to allow contractors to begin staging equipment and material. Work will begin Monday, Aug. 26, at which time the street will close.

Brandon University will be the venue for a memorial reception in honour and memory of the late Dr. Harold (Jack) Perkins, a former President and Vice-Chancellor at BU.

Brandon University’s Dr. Allison McCulloch has received the Elizabeth Meehan ‘Best Article’ Prize for 2018. The award, announced recently, recognizes a peer-reviewed, original research article by Dr. McCulloch that appeared in the October 2018 edition of the Government and Opposition journal, published by Cambridge University Press.
