BRANDON, MB – One week after stepping aside as men’s volleyball coach, Russ Paddock is still putting his touch on next year’s line-up.
Part of Paddock’s responsibility is to put together the roster for the 2012-13 season, and Paddock is doing exactly that in adding 6-foot-3 left-side Scott Vercaigne of Winnipeg.
Vercaigne will be graduating from Collège Jeanne-Sauvé at the end of June where he has been an out-side hitter with the senior boys varsity volleyball team for four years.

BRANDON, MB – After seven seasons as an assistant coach with the Brandon University Bobcats men’s volleyball team, Grant Wilson is set to take over the reins as head coach on a one-year term.
Wilson has been an assistant to Russ Paddock since the program was added to BU’s athletic program in 2005, however this is the first dramatic change to the coaching structure since the team’s inception.

BRANDON, MB — Tomorrow and Saturday, the 101st Convocation at Brandon University will celebrate the achievements of 629 students as they assemble in the Western Manitoba Centennial Auditorium to receive well deserved degrees or diplomas. As well, honorary doctorates and other awards will be presented during each of the ceremonies.

BRANDON, MB — Jazz faculty members, saxophonist Greg Gatien, percussionist Eric Platz and two of their senior students, guitarist Josh Winestock and bassist John Baron will share the stage with acclaimed pianist, John Harmon. The Wisconsin-based musician is also a prolific composer of works for orchestra, wind ensemble, choirs, chamber and jazz groups.

BRANDON, MB — A new option is now available at Brandon University for young musicians with a Performance Diploma from Mount Royal University. Thanks to an articulation agreement between the two Western Canadian institutions, students wishing to continue their studies after obtaining a 63-credit hour diploma from Mount Royal University will have the opportunity to audition for entrance directly into the third year of either a Brandon University Bachelor of Music degree (Honours) or (Performance Major) program.

BRANDON, MB – In just a few short weeks on the job, Bobcats women’s basketball coach Novell Thomas has been busy on the recruiting trail.
Thomas is pleased to announce the commitment of his third recruit of the year in Winnipeg product Carrera Lamoureux.

BRANDON, MB – A little over one week after announcing his first recruit as head coach of the Bobcats women’s basketball team, Novell Thomas has gone back to the Queen City for his second recruit.
Regina’s Maegan MacKay of Balfour Collegiate has signed a letter of intent to play for Brandon University starting in the fall of 2012.

BRANDON, MB — Every year, the top young woodwind, brass and percussion players from across the country gather to form the National Youth Band (NYB). This year, there are several Brandon University (BU) links.

BRANDON, MB – The Bobcats men’s volleyball team will once again be hosting a series of one-day rural volleyball clinics in the fall of 2012.
In September and October of 2011 the Bobcats visited more than 20 rural schools, and will look to repeat the success of last year’s program again this fall.
