BRANDON, MB – The BU men’s volleyball team is set to host the annual Super 8 Tournament this Saturday and Sunday in the BU Gymnasium. The Bobcats will host the Regina Cougars, Winnipeg Wesmen and Waterloo Warriors in pre-season action.

BRANDON, MB – Recent Bobcat grad Kevin Miller will see his first international competition next month as the Russell, Manitoba product has cracked Canada’s Pan-American Games men’s volleyball roster.
Miller and his countrymen will head to Guadalajara, Mexico October 24 to 29 to represent Canada.

BRANDON, MB – Bobcat basketball fans will have a unique opportunity to see their favorite current Bobcats compete against familiar faces this Friday (September 30) in the BU Gymnasium. The first annual Bobcat Alumni Skills Competition will take place starting at 7 pm.
The event will feature various skills competitions between current members of the Bobcats roster and Bobcat greats like John Carson, Whitney Dabney and Dave Dominique, as well as local youth basketball players.

BRANDON, MB – The 2010-2011 school year proved to be one of the most successful seasons in the classroom for Bobcat student-athletes. Fifteen Bobcats were awarded CIS Academic All-Canadian status last year, the highest number to be given the award in recent memory.

Brandon, MB — Now in its 13th season, the pro series — professional performances offered by the School of Music for students, the university community as well as for the general public — will begin on October 4 with none other than hometown favourite, James Ehnes.
The son of now retired trumpet instructor Alan Ehnes (who taught more than three decades at the School of Music), James has forged a remarkable career of his own and has fans around the globe.

At Brandon University (BU), this tradition will be reprised the weekend of October 14, 15 and 16, with most of the planned activities on campus.

BRANDON, MB – Four years after landing his first Australian player, Bobcats men’s volleyball coach Russ Paddock has gone back to the South Pacific for his latest recruit. Christchurch, New Zealand native Ben Glue has committed to the Brandon Bobcats for the 2011 -2012 season.

BRANDON, MB – Two more recruits have arrived in Brandon to start the 2011-2012 season with the Brandon Bobcats men’s basketball team. Emerick Ravier of Ottawa and Eric Shippers of Kingston, Washington are set to contribute to this year’s squad.

BRANDON, MB – The last four years have been quite a ride for Paul Sanderson. After a 15,000 kilometre journey from Melbourne, Australia to Brandon, Manitoba, Sanderson has accomplished what no other athlete in BU history has.
Now Sanderson is looking forward to making the jump to the pro ranks after signing a contract that will see him land in Switzerland this fall.

Brandon, MB — Mark Williams was one of the more than 500 Brandon University (BU) students to cross the stage at the Western Manitoba Centennial Auditorium in early June.

Like many others, this graduate from Neepawa was closing one chapter of his life, while another was just on the horizon.
