When a trio of talented pianists perform at the pro series Homecoming Concert on Thursday, Oct. 13, they’ll be joined in the spotlight by the Brandon University (BU) School of Music’s newest star.

Brandon University has risen by one spot this year in the annual rankings of Canadian universities conducted by Maclean’s magazine.
“I’m proud of everyone at BU, where students, faculty, and staff all work hard to support a caring institution that is Canada’s Finest Regional University,” said BU President Dr. David Docherty.
Brandon University, in partnership with the Brandon Sun and with Westman Communications Group, will host a pair of debates this month for the 2022 municipal election. The debates will be held at the Lorne Watson Recital Hall in the BU School of Music.
A trio of outstanding Brandon University (BU) alumni will be recognized at Homecoming later this month.
Dr. James McAllister, Lisa Ormann and Lorraine Pompana will receive Brandon University Alumni Association (BUAA) awards during the Homecoming Dinner and Awards on Saturday, Oct. 15. McAllister will receive the Distinguished Alumni Award for Career Achievement, while Ormann and Pompana will both be honoured with the Distinguished Alumni Award for Community Service.
