Brandon University’s enrolment is officially 3,553 students for its 50th anniversary 2017–18 year, an impressive eight per cent increase over last year’s enrolment numbers.
This year’s growth builds on a seven per cent increase in student head count last year, and is the fifth straight year of increased enrolment at BU. Over that time, the student population has increased by more than 22 per cent.

Twenty years ago this week, Brandon University re-opened the doors to its original Brandon College building and the attached Clark Hall, with students, factually, staff and alumni streaming into a completely renewed structure, after a two-year, $12.5 million retrofit.

Last fall, Clark Hall also marked 110 years since its original construction.

BRANDON – A return engagement by the Cecilia String Quartet will also be the final Pro Series appearance for the ensemble.
On Tuesday, Oct. 24, the group returns to the Lorne Watson Recital Hall stage with a programme that includes a favourite standard of the quartet repertoire – Beethoven’s String Quartet Op. 18 No. 3 – as well as one of the works on the group’s JUNO-nominated recording – Mendelssohn’s String Quartet Op. 44 No.1.

BRANDON – Students from Brandon University (BU) and Minot State University (MSU) are meeting today at the International Peace Garden to renew a tradition that dates back to the college days for both institutions.
More than 35 students and five faculty members are taking part in the 65th annual political science conference between BU and MSU, presenting on this year’s topic of Canada and the United States: Then and Now. Brandon University is being represented by 23 students and four faculty member.
