With a new album out this month, acclaimed European jazz saxophonist Carlo Muscat will perform a pro seriesconcert at Brandon University next week.
The talented artists of the School of Music will be showcased as Brandon University welcomes back old friends with the start of the pro series on Thursday evening.
The first day of Brandon University’s Spring Convocation celebrated graduates from the Faculties of Science and Education, as well as from the School of Music.
In today’s morning ceremony, nearly 90 Science grads and nearly 40 Music grads received their degrees, followed by nearly 190 Education degrees bestowed in the afternoon ceremony.

Three major music events are coming together at Brandon University this weekend and early next week, putting on a series of concerts and performances that promise to wow audiences.
The annual E-Gré competition this weekend will be followed by a conference of the Canadian University Music Society, or MusCan, early next week, as well as a simultaneous meeting of the Canadian Network for Musicians’ Health and Wellness (CNMHW).
Pianist Daniel Tselyakov will take music lovers on an enchanting musical journey in a pro series performance on Tuesday, March 19 at Brandon University’s BU’s Lorne Watson Recital Hall.
Tsleyakov, who will be joined by flautist Nancy Hennen, will present a program titled Harmony in Motion, beginning at 7:30 p.m.
BRANDON – Brandon University (BU) will celebrate International Women’s Day by recognizing 10 outstanding students today.
