BRANDON, MB – A historic discussion on civil liberty and national security will be held this week from June 17-19 in Winnipeg and all are invited to take part.
Organized by the Canadian Society for Ukrainian Labour Research and Dr. Rhonda Hinther, history professor at Brandon University, Civilian Internment in Canada: Histories and Legacies is the first event of its kind to examine internment experiences in Canada from a comparative perspective.

Brandon, MB – The Rural Development Institute (RDI) at Brandon University (BU) has released a report into the growth opportunities from innovation in the bulk food processing industry in Manitoba. This research fills an important gap in understanding how innovation is achieved in this industry.

Family, friends, faculty and staff gathered today at Brandon University (BU) to celebrate the success of graduating students at the 2015 Spring Convocation ceremonies held at the Healthy Living Centre. 
Five hundred and thirty-seven graduates received their degrees during two Convocation ceremonies.

Music manuscripts have long been a source of information on how composers work. Mozart appears to have written his music out perfectly the first time, while Beethoven and Brahms scratched things out or glued corrections over top of their initial ideas.

NEAR RIVERS – A Brandon couple is embarking on a project of a lifetime — building their very own self-sustaining home, only the second of its kind in Manitoba.
Their earth-sheltered home’s design will be similar to an “Earthship,” an idea coined by American architect Michael Reynolds, who built and designed the first Earthship in the early 1970s.

BRANDON, MB – A packed house celebrated Brandon University’s (BU) generous donors and outstanding student achievements on the evening of March 18th, 2015 during BU’s annual Awards Reception. The event connected donors who have supported scholarships and bursaries with the student recipients of those awards in the spirit of fellowship and celebration.
