BRANDON, MB – Men’s Volleyball Coach Russ Paddock is thrilled to announce the signing of Australian native Frederick Marsh to the program for the 2010-11 season. Marsh is a 7’1” middle who has experience with the Australian National Team and playing professionally in Europe.

BRANDON, MB – In a new and collaborative initiative, the Faculty of Education at Brandon University is welcoming the entire staff of Sioux Valley School, as well as community members, for a week of shared professional development.
  “As an institution committed to the education and advancement of Aboriginal people, Brandon University appreciates the significance of this curriculum development initiative for the Sioux Valley School,”says Jerry Storie, Dean of the Faculty of Education at Brandon University.

“The well-being of our students and staff are of the upmost importance here at BU,” says Brandon University’s President and Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Deborah Poff. “This policy helps encourage healthy living along with adding to the ongoing campus beautification.

On Thursday, September 3rd, Brandon University will be inviting staff to a seminar, celebrating and marking the importance of teaching in a university context. The event will start with new President & Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Deborah Poff.

BRANDON, MB – Working their connections in Alberta, the Bobcat Women’s volleyball team is proud to announce the commitments of Tessa Geurts from Infansil, AB and Keely Stang from Camrose, AB.
Geurts is a six-foot left side with great ball control that comes to Brandon by way of Mount Royal College in Calgary.
“It is hoped that Tessa will come in and make an impact with the team right away,” says Bobcats head coach, Lee Carter.

BRANDON, MB – Jerry Hemmings, the coach with the most victories in Canadian University men’s basketball history, will be taking a leave of absence from Brandon University for the upcoming academic year. Hemmings, the basketball Coach Emeritus at Brandon, has accepted an offer to coach Team AEK for the 2009-10 season in the Cyprus professional league.
