BRANDON, MB – Men’s Volleyball Coach Russ Paddock is thrilled to announce the signing of Australian native Frederick Marsh to the program for the 2010-11 season. Marsh is a 7’1” middle who has experience with the Australian National Team and playing professionally in Europe.

“This is a big announcement for us. The addition of Freddy combined with our current middle players really sets that position up for us for a few years,” says Paddock.

Marsh is from Canberra, Australia and trained there with the national program from 2005-08. He played professionally in Sweden in 2007-08, and last year in Salzburg, Austria.

“I am proud and excited to join the Bobcat Volleyball program,” says Marsh. “I see this as a big step forward for me and can’t wait to join the team.”

BU Athletic Director Kirk De Fazio says Marsh will register for classes in January of 2010, and be eligible to play in September of 2010 after completing the required 18 credits before the competition season.
