Guest speakers to discuss Francophone life in Manitoba

The Department of Francophone Studies and Languages is organizing the exciting event, Shifting Ideas of What it Means to Be Francophone in Manitoba, with special guests on January 23, 2025.

The event is open to the public and all are welcome to attend.

Guest Speakers include:

Hon. Glen Simard, MLA Brandon East and  Minister of Municipal and Northern Relations & Responsible of Francophone Affairs

Robert Loiselle, MLA St. Boniface (Winnipeg)

Maître Joseph Pelletier, BU Alumnus, Partner at Treo Law LLP (Brandon)

These guests will be in conversation with Brandon University’s Dr. Eftihia Mihelakis, Associate Professor of French & Francophone Studies

The event takes place Thursday evening, January 23, from 5–7 in Clark Hall at Brandon University. It will be held in Room 001, on the lower (basement) floor.
