BRANDON, MB — Due to the Assiniboine River flooding, Kirkcaldy School is being relocated to Brandon University on Wednesday, May 11th, as a precautionary measure. This will involve approximately 400 students and over 20 staff.

Winnipeg, MB – The Winnipeg Chinese Cultural and Community Centre has joined a $1.2M Chinese Canadian Historical Recognition project. Funded by the Community Historical Recognition grant, the project is headed by the University of British Columbia.

WINNIPEG, MB — Volleyball Canada is pleased to announce that the National Women’s Volleyball Team will be hosting Argentina for a four-game series in Manitoba at the end of June. Among the four formal matches, one is scheduled for Monday, June 27, at Brandon University.
Congratulations are extended to Roberta Graham, Assistant Professor, School of Health Studies and Karen Doty-Sweetnam, Assistant Professor, School of Health Studies (Co-applicants) who recently received notice of funding from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) for a Community-University Research Alliance (CURA) grant of $1,000,000 over five years (2011-2016). Their grant is entitled: Rural and Northern Community Response to Intimate Partner Violence.
