BRANDON, MB – Following the success of last year’s first ever Senior Colloquium, Brandon University is set to host the second annual event, Tuesday, April 13.
  “Brandon University offers senior undergraduate students a unique opportunity to engage in research activities that are often reserved for graduate students at other universities. This event highlights some of the research accomplishments possible here,” said Dr. Scott Grills, Vice-President (Academic and Research).

BRANDON, MB – After four years of planning and construction, Brandon University officially opened its brand new, spacious $3.9-million Physical Plant.
  “This is a wonderful addition to BU that will assist in increased functionality across the entire campus,” said Dr. Deborah Poff, BU President and Vice-Chancellor.

The Disaster & Emergency Students Society (DESS) in collaboration with the BU World University Service of Canada (WUSC) Club collected a total of $6,105 for Haiti Relief. This amount was presented to the Canadian Red Cross and in turn matched by the Federal Government.

BRANDON, MB – A new initiative at Brandon University will help first-year students explore one of four academic themes designed to unite them with others that share in their interests.
  Arts One provides students with a peer group interested in similar issues and links them with engaging, talented faculty who are committed to their success.

BRANDON, MB – The 2009-2010 pro series continues with a recital featuring three School of Music faculty members. Pianist Kyung Kim will be collaborating with clarinettist Catherine Wood and ‘celllist Leanne Zacharias.

BRANDON, MB – Paul Sanderson, from the Brandon University Bobcats men’s volleyball team, has been named the 2009-10 Player of the Year in the CIS.
Paul Sanderson was in Kamloops, BC, with Athletic Director Kirk De Fazio, Wednesday evening to receive this award at the CIS Men’s Volleyball banquet at Thompson Rivers University. Sanderson was named the Canada West MVP last, and then forwarded as a nominee with the MVP’s from the three other conferences (Ontario, Quebec and Atlantic regions) throughout the country for the honour.

BRANDON, MB – Students from BU School of Music Opera Ensemble are set to perform the comic opera, “Albert Herring” by Benjamin Britten.
  The opera takes place in the late 1950’s of an English village.
