The Eckhardt-Gramatté Conservatory of Music is bringing convenience and simplicity to its registration process with the launch of a new online enrolment system for summer programming.
The Conservatory will offer three camps for budding musicians across the region this summer. The Brandon Conservatory Choral Summer Choir Camp will take place from July 20 to 24, and is open to all youth from Grades 4 to 9. The other two camps, for current Conservatory students, are the Beginner Saxophone Camp (August 10–13) and Piano Kick Start (August 24–27).
Registration for these camps will take place through CampBrain, a secure and user-friendly digital platform that will replace the Conservatory’s long-standing paper-based registration and payment processes. The launch of summer camps in CampBrain represents the first phase of a larger implementation project, with plans to expand the platform to support additional Conservatory registrations and services in the future. This initiative marks an exciting step forward in modernizing the registration experience for students and families while improving accessibility, convenience, and administrative efficiency.
Dr. Leanne Zacharias, Acting Dean of Music at Brandon University, described the initiative as an important milestone in the School of Music’s transition to a more modern and family-focused experience.
“CampBrain is the first step in a broader vision to implement a comprehensive online registration system that will support all Conservatory programming in the future,” she said. “The transition reflects a commitment to accessibility, secure payment processing, and improved administrative efficiency, while also strengthening connections between the Conservatory, its instructors, and the families it serves.”
Dr. Zacharias adds that the new system will help expand access to programming as the Conservatory explores scholarship opportunities aimed at reducing financial barriers for participants.
“The move to an online platform represents a significant investment in improving the overall experience for families.”
Dianna Neufeld, Eckhardt-Gramatté Conservatory of Music Director
Accessibility and equity remain central to the Eckhardt-Gramatté Conservatory’s mission. The new system includes features such as sibling discounts for families registering more than one child, helping to create more affordable opportunities for participation in music education programs and supporting the Conservatory’s commitment to equitable access.
Director of the Eckhardt-Gramatté Conservatory of Music, Dianna Neufeld, noted that
“The new registration system reflects the Conservatory’s vision for the future by creating greater access, convenience, and opportunity for every student and family,” said Dianna Neufeld, Director of the Eckhardt-Gramatté Conservatory of Music. “The move to an online platform represents a significant investment in improving the overall experience for families while supporting the continued growth and accessibility of the Conservatory’s community music programming.”
Enterprise System Coordinator and project lead, Kristin Jette highlighted the broader institutional impact of the initiative.
“The adoption of CampBrain also aligns the Conservatory with Brandon University’s Mini U programming, which already operates on the same platform,” Jette said. “Families participating in both Conservatory and Mini U programs will benefit from a more seamless and connected experience through a single login and shared family information between systems. Brandon University continues to invest in software solutions that streamline the student and family experience while creating greater accessibility, efficiency, and connection across our programs and services.”
