An important date on the Bobcat calendar is coming up on July 4 at Wheat City Golf Course.
The IG Wealth Management BIRT Cup has become a highly successful event for BU Athletics since 2018. The 2024 tournament saw a whopping 296 golfers take part and a record $100,000 raised for local causes. Since the Bobcats started running the BIRT Cup, over $440,000 has been raised for the community.
The 8th installment of the tournament is SOLD OUT, but the community can still chip in through the online 50/50. The pot is over $5,000 with the winner taking home ½ the total prize amount.
The 2025 BIRT Cup is supporting Bobcat student-athletes; Boissevain Golf Club; Carberry Splash Park; Manitoba Softball Hall of Fame relocation; Pilot Mound Golf Course; Treherne hockey rink upgrades; Westman Ski Club and Wheat City Tennis Club.
