This week, bargaining teams from Brandon University and the BU Faculty Association reached a tentative agreement for a renewed Collective Agreement. This is wonderful news and our thanks go to the members of both bargaining teams, who have worked so hard to arrive at this milestone. The strong commitment by both teams allowed us to collaboratively reach a deal that was fully negotiated at the table, and a deal that both teams believe is fair for all and will positively transform our University.
Next week, all members of the BU Faculty Association will have the opportunity to hear details about the negotiated changes, to ask questions, and to vote on the ratification of the agreement. Results of the ratification vote will be announced Thursday afternoon, March 28.
Congratulations to both the BUFA and BU bargaining teams, whose commitment has been tireless and admirable, and thank you to all faculty, staff, and students for continuing their excellent work throughout this lengthy process.
