An accomplished post-secondary administrator and project manager will join Brandon University’s senior leadership as Manager of Executive and Board Operations.

“I am delighted to announce Louise Moss as our newest team member and look forward to the energy and enthusiasm she will bring to the role,” said BU President Dr. David Docherty. “This is an essential vacancy for us to fill as we begin to implement our strategic plan to be recognized as Canada’s Finest Regional University, and Louise’s leadership of key files, as well as her counsel, will be critical to our success.”

Moss brings a wealth of experience to the role, including 22 years of post-secondary experience in Manitoba, most recently four years as Registrar at Assiniboine Community College. She has a certificate in project management from Mount Royal University, and previously served 12 years in the British Royal Navy in the field of Education and Training Support, including high-level project management.

“I am thrilled to be offered this opportunity and excited to join Brandon University as Manager, Executive and Board Operations,” Moss said. “I am thankful to Assiniboine Community College for the past 22 years of great work experiences and the lifelong friends made along the way. I am looking forward to new projects and adventures as well as meeting everyone at BU.”

As Manager of Executive and Board Operations, Moss will oversee and facilitate the administrative, operational, strategic project management and financial affairs for the Office of the President and the BU Board of Governors. She will be responsible for developing and implementing executive activities, for special and high priority initiatives, and for leading the review and development of Board and administrative policies.

The Manager of Executive and Board Operations is a member of both the President’s Executive Committee and the President’s Administrative Committee who works closely with the senior leadership group including Deans, Vice-Presidents and Associate Vice-Presidents. The position reports to both the President and to the Chair of the Board of Governors.

Moss was the successful candidate after a nationwide search. The position was left vacant upon the appointment of Kristen Fisher as Associate Vice-President, People and Talent.

Moss will begin her duties on Oct. 1, 2022.
